If you like both land and water animals, the Pet Otter is just for you. It was released back in January of 2017, as a promo pet. It can be obtained by redeeming a code that comes with the Silveregg toy from the Adopt A Pet Igloos collection. Today, we are going to take a closer look at the Pet Otter!

I expect all rules to be followed - those include no plagiarizing, bullying, swearing, etc. The Otter is an animal added in May 2017 at the Sapphire Shop for 150 Sapphires and also through the Atlantis Bundle for 250 Sapphires. The Otter's default colors are a light brown coat with a tan-brown undercoat. It has a large head with a large, flat nose and two whiskers on each side of the snout. The head also had two large tufts of fur sticking out on the sides of its head, 2 small, semi.
Pet Otter Actions & Special Abilities in Animal Jam
The Pet Otter is slightly more unique compared to other pets. It has two sets of actions and special abilities; one set for land and one set for underwater. Let’s take a closer look at them;
The land actions are as following; Sit, Dance, Play, Sleep and Hop.
Sitting makes the pet sit down on its behind.
Dancing makes the pet move from one side to another on its hind legs.
The play action makes the pet hit on a shell and push it into the sand.
The sleep action makes the pet put its head down and rest, with animated Z’s above its head.
The hop action makes the pet jump up and down on all four legs.
The underwater actions are as following; Pose, Dance, Dive, Swirl and Play.
Posing makes the pet sit back and relax.
Diving makes the pet dive down into the water and make circles.
Swirling makes the pet swirl next to the player.
Dancing makes the pet move from one side to another on its hind legs, and blows bubbles.
Playing makes the pet go back and forth on what seems to be a blue rocking horse.
How to Get a Pet Otter
There are two ways to get the Pet Otter in Animal Jam. Firstly, you could try to find and buy the Silveregg toy from the Adopt A Pet Igloos collection. That particular toy comes with a code that can be redeemed to receive the pet. Secondly, you could trade pets with other Jammers.
Trading
An easier way to get the Pet Otter is by find a player that already owns it, and is willing to trade it with you. It will be a difficult task, especially since the pet is very rare. Make sure to always be careful of scammers. When the trade is about rare items/pets, people should be more cautious.
Pet Otter Codes
Many of the pets in Animal Jam are obtainable at the Diamond Shop, or by simply going to the pets section and adopting them that way. Since the Pet Otter is a promo pet, you can only get it by redeeming a code. Unfortunately, there are no free codes available to get the Pet Otter.
